Founded in 1987, the Society has presented programs at Pendle Hill, Old Union Methodist Church, Ohev Shalom Synagogue, Helen Kate Furness Library, the Community Arts Center and Springhaven Golf Club.

We’ve visited Taylor Arboretum and Smedley Park. We’ve sponsored lectures on local trolleys, the mills on Crum and Ridley creeks; talks on the Leiper and Furness families, Sackville Mills, South Media, and more. There’s still plenty to explore in the long, rich history of our Township.

Please join the Society to lend your support to our efforts to research and preserve our township’s history, and present it to our community.
