In two small rooms on the ground floor of the Leiper House, the Historical Society and the Friends maintain an archive of materials of local interest:
- Clippings files on houses, places (like schools and churches), people, and events
- Old maps and subdivision plans
- Yearbooks, local history books, and record books of local organizations
- Artifacts from old sites
Two Township history books are offered for sale: A Brief History of Nether Providence by Mervyn Harris (also available at the Township building), and Images of America: Nether Providence by Michele Davidson (which is also available online at Arcadia Publishing.com and Amazon.com).
The archives are not currently indexed. Email us to request a file search.
