Leiper House recently welcomed a special visitor: Sheldon Tucker of North Carolina, a direct descendant of Thomas and Elizabeth Gray Leiper!

Mr. Tucker is their great-great-great-great-grandson—six generations removed from the couple who made this historic home their country residence in 1785. We were delighted to welcome him to a place that holds so much of his family’s history.

It’s always special when Leiper House brings the past to life for the descendants of the family who called it home for more than 170 years!

Come visit! The Leiper House is open for tours on Saturdays and Sundays from 1–4 PM, April through December.
